A MINOR in a world of MAJORS

So yesterday to say the least was not the best day. I have been fighting a virus all week long. So yesterday after lunch I decided to run home and take some medicine and check my temperature. Well I did not have fever but (I did last night) anyways since I did not have a fever I headed back to the office. As I am getting off of the interstate a young girl slams into the back of my car. MY NEW CAR!!! I immediately start crying because I was just not having a good day. I was okay and so was the girl that ran into me...my car had minor damage...hers a little more. The girl has insurance and the police wrote a report so it will all be taken care of. My POINT is....on my way back to work I just started crying again (I promise Im really not emotional) but yes I started crying and I thought of something I told the girl that ran into my car. She felt really bad and kept saying "im so sorry....im so sorry". I told her "its ok its a minor in a world of majors". You know...this is so true. I started thinking...yeah I have had a virus...yeah my stomach hurts...but you know, it will get better. Yes, my car is damaged but it to will be fixed. Yes, Im late getting back to the office but it too will be okay. Thinking of what could be worse...I could not have a job, the virus I had could have been worse or life threatening, and my car is fixable and everyone was okay. So at that moment I just stopped and said a prayer for anyone hurting, lost, or broken.

I checked Kelly's blog this morning and baby Harper is improving by the minute. She still needs prayers and the lord needs praising for the wonders he is doing in this little girls life. She has no idea.

Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe weekend!

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

If you have read my previous post then you read about Kelly and Baby Harper Stamps. Kelly has updated her blog---Harper is being flown to an AR childrens hospital. From what I gather her lungs are not working properly but the Dr's are not giving much of a good word. Please.....hit your knees and pray for Harper and her family. I pray that Harper is healed and is a healthy baby...Kelly wants so bad to bring home her healthy baby girl. I pray that Harpers family finds peace and comfort during this time. Please pray and remember this family. God is good....we just have to cry out our prayers! Thank you brothers and sister in Christ!
Love,
Leigh

Yay for Friday

Well it is 9:10 pm on Friday night and I am curled up under a blanket on the couch by a fire. WOW does it get much better. Yes...I have Aaron to the left of me and my two babies (dogs) laying on my legs. Im not sure why but they are content as long as they are ON me. So looks like I may not move for a bit, which is fine with me! It is freezing cold so tonight is a GREAT night to curl up and stay warm. I had to go purchase a birthday gift and a baby shower gift tonight...so I was able to spend a few hours at Target (my favorite ). Aaron had to come to my rescue...I could spend my entire paycheck in that place. So I found my gifts and managed to leave without purchasing one thing for myself. YAY. We then went and had dinner at one of our favorite little Mexican restaurants--im stuffed! So looks like my night will be me sitting here, by the fire, with the ones I love! :)

I have a PRAYER REQUEST. Kelly--you can find her blog at Kellyskornerblog.com. Kelly had her little miracle tonight...Harper Brown who weighed 9 lbs 10 ounces...whew you go Kelly. Anyways I have been following her blog and she seems to be an amazing woman. I promise if I lived near her we would be great friends. Ok for my prayer request. Baby Harper is having trouble breathing on her own so tests are being done. and Kelly's blog says she lost a good amount of blood. So if you would send out a prayer that Kelly and Baby Harper Brown Stamps recover and get to go home healthy and full of love. God is wonderful and is in control.

Everyone have a WONDERFUL night and may God bless each of you!
xoxo Leigh

Hey everyone! Nothing much to blog about tonight but I must say I am very happy tomorrow is Friday. woohoo! It has been a long week at work. Okay I just want to share a thought. So...yes, I am a Jessica Simpson fan. No, im not obsessed. I always thought she was a cute girl and I love how her style is realistic. You know how you look at some celebrities and you think to yourself..."I could never pull that off" or "I could never afford that". Jessica always wears things that are for the average everyday girl. Things you can go to Target or even Old Navy and purchase. No...it wont be the exact brand more than likely but very similar style. Ok...im rambling. My point about Jessica is............the girl sings better country than pop. What was she thinking. I know she was just trying to FIT IN with what she thought was popular at the time. I am guilty, I bought the new Jessica country album and its really good. I love her song PRAY OUT LOUD. I always said she had a good voice but she would scream and make funny sounds when singing. Anyways....I am impressed. She should have started country. Im not sure ppl take her serious now...she may always be in the "pop princess" category. Anyways check out her new songs, she has some good ones.

Night to all. Say your prayers and remind your loved ones how much they are loved!!

New week...fresh start!

Good Morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe weekend. I had a very relaxed weekend which was nice because lately things have been busy in my life. I was able to slow down and spend some quality time with the ones I love. Speaking of spending time with the ones I love.....the one I love more than life itself would be Jesus....my Lord and Savior. Our church Highpoint has started a new series called WHERE IS GOD WHEN LIFE HURTS. If you live in the Memphis or surrounding area...please come worship on Sunday Mornings with us. This is a great time to come and bring a friend. As humans we all hurt...whether you realize it or not. No one is perfect...yes, you heard me correctly, I'm speaking to you....you are not perfect! :)

Highpoint's motto is THE PERFECT PLACE FOR IMPERFECT PEOPLE....so if you are looking for a church home or even a place to visit...I may know just the PERFECT place for you. Check them out at highpointmemphis.com.

I have been a regular member to Highpoint for a while now but I knew in my heart that this was the church home for me. I soon will be transfering my membership to Highpoint! Highpoint gets me out of my seat and out of my comfort zone which is something I really needed. I can promise you...the holy spirit is in the room when you are worshiping....I have never been to a church in all my 25 yrs of life and felt him the way I did my first time at Highpoint. The baptisims are one of my favorite things to witness on Sunday's. During this time imperfect people that have been hurt and broken turn and give all they have....to be cleansed. Everytime someone is baptised I get chills and the tears pour! Happy tears! The people of Highpoint are not afraid to get out of their seats and show praise during this time. I could go on and on. If you have any questions about times or where its located please let me know.......I would love to see you their!

I hope everyone has wonderful day. I know I am ready to get off....because tonight is........
The Bachelor time. :) I am ready to go home put on my pjs, get dinner and plop on the couch! Sounds good!

EDWARD CULLEN

Okay. I know I have mentioned in previous posts that I am reading the Twilight series and I may even have a slight obsession. Well I can promise you I know someone more obsessed than myself. Candice, the one who introduced me and convinced me give the series a try, believes that she is Mrs. Edward Cullen herself. Shes reading the series and not to mention has seen the movie three times going on to the fourth...oh and listens to the soundtrack at work all day. hahah! Well Im sitting at work here on this Friday just waiting for 5:00 when all of the sudden I receive an email and this is what I saw.........................................

Candice is a hoot! I must say my days at work would be very lonesome if I did not have such a great friend to work with.

Hope everyone has a great Friday night! Be safe! xoxox

Is it Friday yet?

I would like to say that I am so happy my shows are back on TV. First off I LOVE.........

Yes....the Bachelor! Oh and Jason! He is precious. So yes Monday night I was glued to the television. I was so upset last season when DeAnna let him go. I just knew she would pick him but in the end he was the lucky one.....he did not need her. Even if you are not a Bachelor fan, you should watch on Monday nights...this season will be good! Of course I have to get a dose of the biggest Loser also. I love the end results the most. Im not really sure of my favorites yet on these shows but here in the next week or two I will know.

Im missing the Hills but loving the City! Now on to Bromance. Really? Brody are you kidding? Im not so sure about this show. I have to admit though I catch a few episodes. Only to see this...

Yep...my dose of Mr. Brody Jenner. I just wish the show wasnt so silly. Oh well I get a good laugh! Tonight will be all about Football though...go FLORIDA! Hope everyone has a wonderful night. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday! xoxox

2009

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a safe and happy one. Well as for New Year resolutions.....I NEVER make them. I choose not to only because I know I will not keep them. I always seem to think of the same ones every year too.....its really funny how everyone picks resolutions and generally forget about them after several weeks into the new year. For those of you that have made a list....GOOD LUCK....seriously I hope you stick to it! :)

Tonight we had a girls trip to Target so I could buy a book shelf and Jewelry dresser. I have some nice jewelry and then I have some cheap jewelry. My main problem is I tend to lose more than I wear so tonight I bought a good size piece of furniture to organize my jewelry in. So...I guess you could say that is something I am going to work on this year. ORGANIZATION. Organization makes me sane. When things are nice and neat I feel great....when things are chaotic I feel overwhelmed. Once I put my bookshelf together, I organized all my books. I even managed to clean out all the drawers in my desk. Wow---I told Kristie I was going to organize my room and she said she could not believe the words that came out of my mouth. hahah! I really am a clean freak I just have to do it on my own terms. I am starting 2009 with a fresh clean start. Im going back blond! No more brown hair for me! I just don't quite feel like myself with brown hair. So I'm going blond and starting to work out! (Kristie--don't let me slack) Tonight while at Target we got a workout video....we can do this together outside of cardio! Well I said I don't make resolutions but it looks like I am trying to start 2009 off to a good start.

Oh...and I actually shocked myself this past weekend. I know I am a little late but---I read the entire Twilight book this weekend. Ok, you may be wondering why I am shocked? Let me explain. I am not into vampire..sci-fi...harry potter...you get the idea...books/movies. Anyways everyone keeps talking about how great these books are and how great the movie was. Candice, my friend i work with has read the book and is actually reading the entire series. She has seen the movie three times and is ready to go again! So curiosity got the cat---I gave in and bought the book. I was into the third chapter when I realized that I could not put the book down. I chose the book bc I heard its better than the movie. I loved the book so much that it looks like Candice has a date for her fourth time seeing the movie. So if you are looking for good reading go grab the book.....while you are there get the entire series!
